We finally made it to the dog park. I was a little nervous only because Badger isn't so great in the car. We decided to put the remote trainer on him for the car to see if that would help...you know what...it did. He stopped barking and whining and I think we even tired him out cause he laid down all the way home. Not even a peep out of him.
Well, he absolutely loved the dog park and did great. I'm not sure if his other foster took him to one but he loved it. He did several laps with Mr. FF and our dogs. He was pretty good staying with the pack. I was so excited to see another Catahoula there. I had to stalk the woman for a bit before working up the courage to ask her without sounding crazy. lol Her dog is from IL. Don't worry though, she said he's always been a Packers fan(ha ha).
I wanted to mention one other funny thing. We were watching America's Funniest Animals and all of a sudden a bear was on the tv. Well, Badger was snuggling with me and saw the bear and jumped off the couch guns-a-blazin'. I'm just glad he didn't jump at the screen. It was very short lived and quite funny. I thought I heard somewhere that Catahoulas are used for bear hunting as well as wild boar. Don't quote me on that though.
Thanks for thinking rescue and enjoy the pictures. I love the one where it looks like he is smiling. He was so happy at the dog park. A definite must again this week.
