A Foster's Poem

Here's a little poem I just wrote. Hope it will brighten someones day.

A Foster's Poem

We picked you up
And brought you home
No more streets
Will you roam.

Warm and loved
Will be your life
No more fear,
No more strife.

We'll teach you how
to "sit" and "stay"
But most of all to
"come and play".

Your family will be here soon.
Our hearts will feel like an empty room.

Don't you worry
We'll be just fine
For our hearts are so big,
so loving, so kind.

Your life will be great
From this point on.
Just erase the past
and begin a new bond.

We can learn so much
from these fluffy's
like forgiveness and trust
Love, compassion and
humility's a must.

Don't forget patience
You need lots of that

At the end of the day
All they want is a pat

So off you go
your forever family's here
In our hearts
you'll always be near.
