We do not know if the three pups are from the same litter. Ricky and Ethel (the black and white pup)had the same body size although Ethel's frame was slimmer. Lucy (the other white pup) has very short legs making us think she had some dachshund or beagle mix. As far as breed, Ricky's body is very lab like so we have him listed as a retriever. He probably is several breeds. The vet thought she saw pointer in Ricky and Ethel. Other thoughts are hound and/or terrier.
The pups were very hand shy upon arrival. They so wanted to be near a person and would really watch you but when your hand was extended they would back up. Ricky was the least shy but still reserved. Within weeks they learned to trust and love people.
